Recipe

  • Preheat the oven to ().
  • Cook the eggs for 9 minutes in boiling water, then rinse them under cold water. Peel them (shell them) and cut them in half lengthwise. Arrange them in an oven dish, yolks facing up.
  • Heat the tomato sauce and season to your taste. Spoon the sauce over the eggs, without completely covering the yolks.
  • Add a few small knobs of butter (noisettes de beurre) on top of the tomato sauce.
  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until the sauce is lightly simmering.
  • Enjoy with slices of bread.
